Appendix – Timeline of Hadleigh Guildhall
Anyone who is interested in the history of Hadleigh should not be without a copy. The information it contains has been used in part by the nationally renowned Caroe Architecture Ltd who have been commissioned by the Hadleigh Town Council to assess the Guildhall and Town Hall’s architectural and historical importance as part of the Council’s Guildhall Conservation Management Plan for the building. As Caroe Architecture Ltd say in their report: “Decisions which would shape Hadleigh’s history were made within its walls”. Furthermore, Caroe concluded from their work in the building that the Hadleigh Guildhall is of Exceptional Significance and is of international importance.

We are very proud of our wonderful Guildhall and now, with this book, we can all appreciate more fully its history and historical significance to the town, and for a reasonable cost of just £10.
The book is 120 pages and with both black and white, and colour illustrations;
Copies may be purchased from The Idler and Avis Newsagents in Hadleigh High Street, or at the Society talks.
